TEENS DIRECTOR / MASTERY DIRECTOR
Liz was an athlete throughout her teens and college years. She stumbled into CrossFit after overhearing the methodology could be used to train for a marathon in place of excessive running. She fell in love with CrossFit as a way to express her athletic side while maintaining her health and wellness. Liz also found CrossFit’s practical applications and universal utility to be a perfect match for her professional goal of helping people live independently and joyfully through physical activity, recreation, sport, and HEALTH for a lifetime.
Currently, in her 15th year of coaching and personal training, Liz continues to enjoy the challenge of connecting her academic background in health education (MEd., Ph.D.), sports psychology, nutrition, and fitness (B.S.) with the goals and motivation of a wide variety of athletes. Her Coaching resume includes several all-state track and field athletes. She’s also had success working with athletes as young as 8 and as old as 75+.
Liz is the Coach responsible for CrossFit MXI’s Teens (13-17yr olds) and Mastery (Senior athletes) programs, she also works with athletes one on one and through remote programming.

Throughout my life of competitive sports and outdoor adventures, I have gained an appreciation for the vast benefits of exercise on physical and mental performance. As I continue this lifestyle, I have learned more about the health advantages of exercise in the promotion of well-being and the prevention of chronic disease among those in my community. After gaining these insights I have used my passion for exercise to guide individuals in reducing injury and enhancing daily performance while promoting life-long fitness and health.

Angelo is the mind behind the workouts here at MXI! If you’ve ever cursed a tough workout at our gym, you’ve found the culprit. He has over 12 years of experience in gym programming and personal programming. Angelo brings a unique style to his programming that infuses health and healing into the challenging workouts we all love.
Angelo found CrossFit and functional fitness in 2008 when his friend started to use crossfit.com to train for Officer Candidate School. From that summer on, he’s been hooked. As an athlete, Angelo qualified and competed at the CrossFit North Central Regional in 2011, 2012, and 2013 where his highest finish was 22nd out of 60 elite athletes.
Angelo started coaching shortly after finding CrossFit. He has coached a wide variety of world class athletes. This ranges from world champion podium powerlifters, world championship qualifier iron-woman, multiple division 1 collegiate athletes/disciplines and multiple CrossFit Regional/AoQ athletes.
Angelo’s true passion lies in improving quality of life and health for his clients. He has helped athletes come back from herniated discs, full knee reconstructions, torn ACL’s, torn labrums, etc. Check out his Instagram @afoscocoach to see some client testimonials and coaching highlights!
